Como o macaco gosta de "bananaz"...

A curiosidade em torno dos Gorillaz e do processo criativo que levou Damon Albarn e Jamie Hewlett a gerar "Gorillaz" e "Demon Days" parece ter finalmente resposta!

O site oficial da banda anuncia um novo documentário prestes a ser editado, que mostra o que está por trás da banda virtual com mais sucesso de sempre. "Bananaz" é o título escolhido para a compilação de sete anos de gravações realizadas por Ceri Levy (amigo de longa data da banda e que produziu "Starshaped", documentário em torno dos Blur).

Não existe ainda uma data confirmada para esta edição - entretanto esperam-se também os "D-Sides" anunciados para 19 de Novembro, a segunda colecção de lados B, remisturas e raridades dos Gorillaz. O alinhamento deste álbum duplo já foi divulgado, e aqui o deixamos, com toda a pop e circunstância!

Sigur Rós em casa

No Verão de 2006, durante duas semanas, os islandeses Sigur Rós andaram a percorrer a sua ilha natal de ponta a ponta. Bem, de ponta a ponta talvez não, mas pelo menos por quinze locais escolhidos a dedo, entre cidades fantasma, parques naturais, pequenas aldeias até à capital Reykjavik. Em todas as paragens, sem aviso prévio, decidiram dar concertos gratuitos.

Toda esta experiência foi captada em filme e agora é apresentada em "Heima" (termo islandês para lar), primeiro filme oficial dos Sigur Rós. Os pormenores da banda em palco, as reflexões dos músicos, a magia da Islândia e as músicas que fizeram dos Sigur Rós um ícone no experimentalismo etéreo e no pós-rock (há novas versões e temas novos à mistura), tudo reunido num duplo DVD realizado por Dean Dablois.

Em conjunto com este filme surje também um novo álbum, o duplo "Hvarf-Heim": cinco raridades gravadas em estúdio num registo "eléctrico" e seis outras em formato acústico naquilo que a banda define como "álbum de companhia" do filme (sem que, no entanto, as músicas de "Heima" estejam aqui presentes).


Tanto o filme como o álbum têm lançamento marcado para 5 de Novembro, com sessão especial de apresentação na FNAC em Coimbra.
