Sai uma Maximo Park fresquinha...

Há coisas que só podem acontecer no reino de Sua Majestade...

Quase a terminar um ano de intensa actividade, os Maximo Park não quiseram deixar 2007 ir embora sem darem mais um ar da sua graça!

Prontos a dar os últimos concertos da digressão de apresentação de Our Earthly Pleasures, a banda de Paul Smith e amigos arranjou tempo para responder a um convite de uma companhia cervejeira da sua Newcastle natal. O desafio era desenhar um rótulo ao estilo Maximo Park para a típica "Newcastle Brown Ale" e o resultado foi conhecido esta semana.

Como curiosidade, esta honra de criar rótulos para as cervejas de Newcastle só tinha sido concedida apenas uma vez anteriormente, ao jogador Alan Shearer, aquando da sua reforma futebolística.

Resta referir que foram produzidas algumas dezenas de milhar de garrafas rotuladas com esta preciosidade artística, podendo ser encontradas à venda numa lista selecta de "pubs" britânicos no dia do último concerto de 2007 dos Maximo Park, na Metro Radio Arena de Newcastle a 15 de Dezembro.

Será caso para dizer que esta é, provavelmente, a mais musical cerveja do mundo!
